You might find it odd that adjacent to the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is Polypack Inc. headquarters, a company that manufactures shrink wrapping equipment.  But it is actually fitting that the two are next to each other considering that cars and plastic were two major inventions of the early 1900's that sparked the industrial growth of the United States and continue to do so today. So much so, that Polpack Inc headquarters, founded in 1973, recently underwent an extension project incorporating Morin panels. 


Polypack Inc. uses stainless steel to manufacture all their machines which provide packaging solutions to companies all over the world ranging from beverage companies to cosmetic companies. It's no wonder why then, WJ Architects selected stainless steel as the material for the exterior panels of their expansion. There is no coating on the stainless steel and so it retains its natural silver and reflective properties. From afar, the building itself looks like one of Polypack's machines. Up close it is interesting to look at, as the S-shaped curves of the S-16 panel profile refract your reflection in all directions. The S-16 panels are installed horizontally with concealed fasteners and vertical stainless steel beams closing the gaps between them. Corner pieces give the building continuity. 11,000 square feet of stainless steel panels cover every inch of the 3-walled building extension, including the soffits, giving the impression that the building itself was shrink-wrapped in stainless steel.

Tallest Residential Tower in Denver Nestles Into Confluence Park

Sitting on a tightly zoned piece of land between a river and a creek is a new ultra-luxury high-rise residential tower that soars 375 feet into the skies of Denver, Colorado. The Confluence Tower, named after Confluence Park where it resides, was completed in late summer of 2017.
